The Alcorn School District (ASD) Acceptable Use Policy allows students to use district technology to support teaching and learning both inside and outside the classroom. I have reviewed the Alcorn School District Student Handbook and understand the rules, guidelines, and expectations for the use and care of district-issued technology. I understand that the annual, non-refundable Technology Fee is $25 and that the Technology Fee Schedule is located in the Fees section of the Alcorn School District Student Handbook.
Alcorn School District Device Agreement
The Alcorn School District (ASD) is committed to providing students with technology that supports teaching and learning. Students who are issued a district-owned device are expected to use it responsibly and in accordance with all district policies.
Parent/Guardian Agreement
As the parent or guardian of the student listed below, I understand and agree that:
1.The assigned device, charger, and any district-issued accessories remain the property of the Alcorn School District at all times.
2.My student is responsible for the proper care, security, and appropriate use of the assigned device while it is in their possession, whether at school, at home, or during transportation.
3.My student and I will comply with the ASD Acceptable Use Policy, the ASD Student Technology Handbook, and all other applicable district technology policies.
4.If my student violates district technology policies or uses the device in an inappropriate manner, their technology privileges may be suspended or revoked, and they may be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with district policy.
5.I understand that I may be financially responsible for the repair or replacement of the assigned device, charger, or accessories if they are lost, stolen, intentionally damaged, or damaged through negligence or misuse while assigned to my student, as permitted by district policy. Any applicable charges will be assessed in accordance with the Alcorn School District Technology Fee Schedule published in the Student Handbook.
6.My student will immediately report any loss, theft, damage, malfunction, or security concern involving the assigned device to school personnel.
7.I understand that the district may inspect, inventory, update, monitor, or remotely manage district-owned devices and district accounts in accordance with district policy and applicable law.
8.If the assigned device cannot be repaired, ASD reserves the right to issue a replacement device.
9.At the end of the school year, upon withdrawal from the district, or whenever requested by ASD, I agree to return the assigned device, charger, and any district-issued accessories in good working condition, allowing for normal wear and tear.
Student Agreement
- As a student receiving an ASD-issued device, I understand and agree that.I will follow the ASD Acceptable Use Policy, the ASD Student Technology Handbook, and all instructions provided by school staff regarding the use of district technology.
- I will use the device primarily as an instructional tool to support my education.
- I will bring my assigned device to school each day, fully charged and ready for use unless otherwise directed by school staff.
- I will properly care for my assigned device and will not intentionally damage, alter, deface, or misuse it.
- I will not remove, disable, bypass, or attempt to circumvent district-installed security software, filtering software, device management software, or other system settings.
- I will not allow another person to use my assigned device unless specifically authorized by a teacher or school administrator.
- I will immediately report any damage, malfunction, loss, theft, or security concern involving the device to school personnel.
- I understand that repairs, maintenance, software updates, or restoring the device to factory settings may erase files or data stored on the device. I am responsible for backing up or saving any personal files that I wish to keep.
- I understand that I must present my assigned device for inspection, inventory, maintenance, updates, or repair whenever requested by school staff.
- I understand that district-owned devices and district accounts are provided for educational purposes. I should not expect personal privacy for information stored on or transmitted through district-owned devices or district-managed accounts, except as provided by law and district policy.

By signing below, we acknowledge that we have read, understand, and agree to comply with the Alcorn School District Acceptable Use Policy, the Student Technology Handbook, including the Technology Fee Schedule, and the terms of this Student Device Agreement.
